Chemical Safety Officer
We are seeking a Chemical Safety Officer to support our operations by ensuring full compliance with chemical safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is ideal for a detail_oriented professional with strong knowledge of hazardous materials and a passion for workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state chemical safety regulations
- Conducting chemical risk assessments and hazard analyses
- Maintaining and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories
- Performing routine safety inspections and internal audits
- Training employees on safe chemical handling and emergency procedures
- Responding to chemical spills, incidents, and safety concerns
- Supporting incident investigations and corrective action planning
Qualifications
- Experience with hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and chemical safety protocols
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance
- Background in safety management, laboratory work, or industrial operations
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple safety programs
