Chemical Safety Officer

We are seeking a Chemical Safety Officer to support our operations by ensuring full compliance with chemical safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment. This role is ideal for a detail_oriented professional with strong knowledge of hazardous materials and a passion for workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state chemical safety regulations
  • Conducting chemical risk assessments and hazard analyses
  • Maintaining and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories
  • Performing routine safety inspections and internal audits
  • Training employees on safe chemical handling and emergency procedures
  • Responding to chemical spills, incidents, and safety concerns
  • Supporting incident investigations and corrective action planning

Qualifications

  • Experience with hazardous materials (HAZMAT) and chemical safety protocols
  • Strong understanding of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance
  • Background in safety management, laboratory work, or industrial operations
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple safety programs
